Control your music directly in Blueberry with Spotify and Apple Music integration.

Overview

Blueberry includes a built-in music player that integrates with your streaming services. Control playback without leaving your workspace.

Supported Services

• Spotify - Full integration with playback controls
• Apple Music - Plugin support for playback

Setting Up Music

Spotify

1. Click the music icon in the header bar
2. Click “Connect Spotify”
3. Sign in to your Spotify account
4. Authorize Blueberry to control playback

Apple Music

1. Open Blueberry Settings
2. Go to “Integrations”
3. Enable “Apple Music”
4. Sign in with your Apple ID

Music Player Controls

The music player appears in the header bar with a compact “Dynamic Island” style interface.

Playback Controls

• Play/Pause - Click the play button or press Space when focused
• Skip - Next/previous track buttons
• Shuffle - Randomize your queue
• Repeat - Loop current track or playlist

Now Playing

• Album artwork thumbnail
• Song title and artist
• Progress bar

Expanding the Player

Hover over the music indicator to expand and see full controls.

Sound Bars Animation

When music is playing, animated sound bars appear in the header. This gives you visual feedback that music is playing even at a glance.

Using with Flow Mode

Music continues playing when you enter Flow Mode. The ambient audio helps maintain focus while the visual distractions fade away.

Troubleshooting

Spotify Not Connecting

1. Make sure you have a Spotify Premium account
2. Try signing out and back in
3. Check that Blueberry has permission in Spotify settings

No Sound

1. Check your system volume
2. Verify audio output device in System Preferences
3. Make sure the track isn’t paused

Playback on Wrong Device

Spotify plays on the last active device. Open Spotify’s “Connect” menu and select your Mac.
